Sam Mshengu – My arrest was an act of jealousy

Pretoria Today       Monday, September 23, 2019
MPUMALANGA tycoon Sam Mshengu Chabalala said his arrest was an embarrassing act. Chabalala (23) shines on Instagram on Saturday, thanking his supporters for accompanying him during his detention and on bail.

"A lot of people that I thought were my friends never pitched up, but I don’t blame them as they say when days are dark, friends are few,” he said. He warned his fans not to post their achievements on social media because it attracted the enemy.

Chabalala also pays tribute to his general manager, Nkosinathi Ngcobo (30), who was shot dead on September 12th at the Sam Holdings truck warehouse in Bethal.

Since then, a 26-year-old man who is considered a killer has been arrested. Chabalala led a fleet of 72 luxury cars to head to Durban in July to make headlines.

He faces corruption, fraud, violations of the Immigration Act and allegations of possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition. He will appear again on 22nd November, 2019 . He is on bail at R200 000.
