Fashionable friends and influencers, Sarah Langa Mackay and Kefilwe Mabote, pulled out all the stops for the ‘Green With Envy’ theme at the event. Sarah Langa Mackay took to social media on Sunday, 15 September 2019, to share images of their outfits and, as the theme suggests, were the envy of social media users.
Sarah Langa Mackay wore a sheer emerald green, pleated chiffon, long sleeve dress from clothing brand, Taibo Bacar. She accessorised the outfit with a gold necklace and gold belt to cinch in the waist, and a green handbag. Kefilwe Mabote, on the other hand, opted for a pair of emerald green, high-waisted, silk-satin pants which she paired with a long sleeve, sheer blouse from South African Project Runway season one winner, Kentse Masilo. She accessorised the outfit with a pair of green platform designer heels, a large green hat from couture hat designer, Anita Ferreira, and a green handbag.
In the caption, Sarah Langa Mackay shared that she partnered with Skip South Africa for the event, in celebration of colour. The caption read, in part, “what an inspiring and fashionable day on the greens. This day has reminded me of how the colour of our clothes truly plays a big role in how we feel and can deliver a message for us without even saying a single word”.
